The University of Freiburg has a new mission statement

One year. Twenty people from all areas of the university. Their goal: to develop a new mission statement for the university. The result is now online: It is interactive and open to change through the addition of exemplary stories from the university. Thus, the mission statement does not just ask the question of what the university is but also what it can be and become. At its heart are three values: quality, responsibility, openness. And the question to us all is: What does the University of Freiburg mean to you? The new mission statement invites everyone to enter into a dialogue – and to shape the university consciously.
