Meteorites are fragments of asteroids, Mars and Moon forcefully colliding with Earth. Fortunately, such collisions are very rare as experienced by a single human. The field geologist's view of these objects will be presented in the talk: How can we find these rare objects, and how can we decipher the time of their fall based on cosmogenic isotopes and weathering? Case histories include the large Twannberg meteorite shower in Switzerland and results from search expeditions in Arabia 2001 - 2017.
